Each month we ask one of our models to come into our office and help us give an insight into what it means to be a Tyne Tees Model.
On 2nd November 2016, one of our scouts from Major Models Milan came to see us and some of our girls for potential work in the Italian city. We chatted to some of the girls about their modelling career so far.
Model: Louise
Born: 1994
Time with Tyne Tees: I only joined the agency in May 2016.
Brands worked for: I’ve worked really closely with Northumbria University for a little while now and I always love doing the fashion shows they hold. I’ve worked with one of the designers too they showcased called Dane Henderson. His work is just amazing!
What do you enjoy most about being a model?: Fashion shows are probably my favourite job to get. I’m a fashion student so even being a part of the run up to it is so much fun. Just being back stage and watching the hustle and bustle of the event. Being fitted for the clothing and spending hours in hair and makeup too.
Have you recently been on a job where you felt it went well and had great feedback from the client?: There have never been any problems when I’ve been on a booking, I feel like they always go really smoothly. Everything is always put together really well and everyone just knows what they need to do.
What would your dream modelling job be?: It’s a little different but my dream would be to walk in an Alexander McQueen fashion show.
What is the best advice you could give to someone new trying to break into the industry?: Always bring spare shoes! I have been in so many situations where designers and clients haven’t had shoes that fit and I am so thankful I always take a spare pair with me. It’s all about being prepared for your booking. Going along with a good attitude and maybe even some double sided sticky tape, you’ll make friends for life that way too.
