Dance and piano teacher Lin Dee was scouted in Hexham Park while dancing the charleston by one of our clients and is a great addition to our Classic section. Find out why she loves the North East and her advice to new models in the industry…
What do you love most about living in the North East?
What I love the most is how friendly people are. Everyone you meet for the first time is happy to say, ‘Hello’ and we all talk to each other as if we know each other. This makes the North East really special!
What is your favourite modelling job that you have done?
It’s not easy to decide as I’ve enjoyed every single one! I guess one of my favourite modelling jobs was for the ‘Move’ campaign as I am passionate about fitness. It was so much fun visiting the different locations to film a variety of activities from walking, running, spinning to Yoga. To be part of a shoot that helps to spread the word that fitness is fun was just fantastic.
What advice would you give to a new model in the industry?
My advice would be to work with a great management team such as TTM as you can relax and enjoy your job knowing that you are well taken care of.
An interesting fact about yourself?
My sister and I found each other on Facebook after losing touch for 30 years and now we live a mile apart!
What made you want to be a model?
I hadn’t considered modelling until one day, I was spotted by Sol Stock whilst dancing the Charleston in Hexham Park!
Why should more clients shoot in the North East?
Beautiful variety of locations. Beautiful people!
Any other comments?
One of the reasons I love modelling is meeting really interesting people, seeing interesting locations and enjoying new experiences… such as foraging wild food. I didn’t know what that was until I was on a shoot at Wild Northumbrian.
