Earlier this Month, Tyne Tees Models said goodbye to the prestigious Miss Newcastle competition. The ‘Year of Hollywood’ final saw the end of 10 years that the modelling agency organised the competition and they truly went out in style!
20 finalists took to the catwalk in Hollywood bunny costumes, evening wear and swimwear as they celebrated the milestone of the Miss England Heat.
Alisha Cowie took home the crown, with Deeann Shotton and Charlotte Battista as second and third runners up.
As always, Miss Newcastle is a charity event to put funds back into our local area and help as many individuals as we can. This year the chosen charity was The Evening Chronicle’s Sunshine Fund and Tyne Tees Models successfully raised over £15,000. This was not only raised at the event and by the finalists, but by Tyne Tees MD Lesley Middlemiss Lister trekking The Grand Canyon to raise as much as she could for the organisation.
Over 10 years Tyne Tees Models have organised Miss Newcastle; they are very proud to have raised over £80,000 in total for North East Charities, which is what the competition is all about.
