Antony has modelled with TTM since 2015 and we have watched him develop from new face to full-time model with placement in Manchester, London and Berlin. Now, we continue to see his career flourish as his photography hobby has progressed to him testing with some of our new faces. We asked him to share his story and some of his favourite shots.

How did you get into photography?

Well, I was given an old Praktica film camera that used to be my grandads. At first it spent a large amount of time sat on my shelf until, I finally used it and fell in love with it and film photography.

Why do you choose to shoot in film?

It’s all about the process for me, from first capture to developing the film and then scanning. It makes you feel connected to the images you create, and I love that.

How do you decide on the theme for your shoots and your model choice?

I normally just wait until I’ve got a location in mind and go from there. I also draw inspiration from photographers such as Peter Lindbergh, Fred Herzog and Saul Leiter.
Do you prefer to be in front of the camera or behind it?

Depends who’s shooting and what it’s for, but I still love modelling and being a part of that creative process. Photography is more of an escape for me, a way to exercise that creative spark we all have in us.

What are your plans for the future?

I’ll probably just keep expanding my ever-growing collection of cameras to the point where I’m unable to move about in my home, and finishing my studio space (if the latter doesn’t claim me first haha).
