Each month we ask one of our models to come into our office and help us give an insight into what it means to be a Tyne Tees Model.

On 2nd November 2016, one of our scouts from Major Models Milan came to see us and some of our girls for potential work in the Italian city. We chatted to some of the girls about their modelling career so far.

Model: Grace

Born: 1994

Time with Tyne Tees: April 2015

Brands worked for: End Clothing, Stagecoach, Fenwick, ErgoFlex. I was actually at a casting for a different client while ErgoFlex were at the studio and they booked me there on the spot! I let the agency know and I did the shoot after I casted.

What do you enjoy most about being a model?: I love the lifestyle. The travelling even just in the UK and every shoot is different so it’s always exciting.

Have you recently been on a job where you had great feedback from the client?: It wasn’t a paid shoot but I was so happy with the feedback I got from Michael Smalley when I photographed with him. The photos were amazing and he was so happy. I had suggested before the shoot that we could work together again but doing different looks with my hair being afro or straight and afterwards he said absolutely 100% because of the results he got.

What would your dream modelling job be?: The Victoria Secret fashion show. My life would be made! I could do it tomorrow then never have to model again, I’d feel like I’d made a life achievement and be so proud. It would also be so cool if I could model for Lush cosmetics.

What is the best advice you could give to someone trying to break into the industry?: This is a really tough industry so don’t get offended. Anything that your agency tells you is for your benefit and they have your best interest at heart. I’d also say work on your portfolio. Honestly it’s so important. You can’t just have 6 images on your profile and expect to get paid bookings straight away, you have to work for it and that takes time and sometimes money.
