Our MD Lesley and one of our team members Gayle are challenging themselves for a great cause this year by trekking Kerala in association with Evening Chronicle’s Sunshine Fund and TravelEyes.
The trip will involve trekking Kerala, India whilst guiding blind travellers.
“As a sighted traveller with Traveleyes, you’ll see more of the world as you guide and describe the sights to a different blind traveller each day. This is a highly sociable experience and sharing your sight often results in an amazing sense of fulfilment and appreciation for the world around you.”
THE CHARITIES
The Chronicle Sunshine Fund provides specialist equipment for children with disabilities or special needs, to improve the quality of their lives. The fund is helping North East children in special schools, learning units, hospitals and also individual families.
Lesley said, “I am so happy to be going to Kerala with a group of 12 wonderful local ladies and working alongside two fantastic charities that provide such positive experiences. This trip will allow us to appreciate what we have and help others to have an amazing adventure too. We are spending our time in the lead up to the trek fundraising for the charities and we would be truly grateful for any help that you can provide.”
